Nice Writeup. Infact U always write in a Style.
Travelling by Metro was really cool experience for me as well. I won't say it something like "Cultural Shock" because that's too heavy. Nowdays we learn many things sitting at our roms. I don't think now days ppl get afraid while flying for the first time as they used to be.
Security asked to remove the battery from my SLR one month back while entering a Metro station here in Kolkata. Same question to you how come you manage to take picture inside the Metro.?

How come you managed to take picture inside the metro? They don't allow that ,do they? No photos, no food etc etc.The last time I was in Delhi, ( around the same time this article was written) I was always worried if they would confiscate my camera when I was riding in the Metro! ...no points for guessing that I have no pictures of it...The picture thereby came as a surprise. And it sure is a symbol of progress, very similar to the metro system in the funding nation /Japan.

I was especially amazed to see ppl queuing up at the station in Rajiv Chowk ( CP) which reminds me of a the statement made by Ha-Joon Chang " economic progress change cultures rather than cultural changes bringing in economic progress!"
