I would love to visit Assam again and I believe you are right when you say "Assam is a great place to be." Some places in Assam are better than others and I stayed only in Guwahati that too for a brief period. I still remember the scene of a rail entering into Guwahati that I saw from Kamakhya hill. That was beautiful. Thank you for writing.

Every place has it's pros ans cons .Smart Tourists are supposed to research before they actually visit a place for the very first time .Expecting high from a trip brings along some pre planned steps like booking with reputed hotels (falling within your budget be it low or high)Assam is a great place to be (ask an Assamese
who has checked out every mesmerising aspect of the place ).You missed out to mention that nature is at it's best in this state of North East India and many of the popular tourist attractions are sitting proudly on this land . A perfect blend of beauty that is still developing despite of many internal political problems .

I would like to suggest you to visit Assam once again and try to figure out all what is good and great lying there .(You will not have to work hard for it.Good things are pretty apparent in Assam )
