22 October: Yes, he wanted to hide his face from my camera! Actually, he was teasing me and was also challenging me to take the shot of his face. “He couldn’t, he couldn’t,” he chanted when he thought I couldn’t take the photo of his face. But then…

24 October: We met these kids in Mulkharka village, just above Sundarijal. They were playing ping.

Mulkharka girl. She took me as a foreigner when I started taking pictures. At the end, when we were about to go, Suraj asked me about something and I replied she realized that I wasn’t a foreigner. “Oh…he is a Nepali!”
