Bird in the middle

…that Kai Bird, middle, was the only writer present in the festival with whom I had met and talked before. Another reason is regional bias in me. Bird, along with his wife Susan Goldmark, lives in Kathmandu. Golkmark is Country Director of World Bank for Nepal. Bird is clearly not happy to live in Kathmandu and he has reason. Who likes Kathmandu in these times when every next day is marred by strikes and annoyingly long power cut is part of life.
