A car with two license plates

car with indian and nepali license plates in kathmandu

Na A Chai 3093- means the vehicle entered Nepal via an entry point in Narayani zone in Chairta month. :: JH 06C 1122- means that the car is registered in Jharkhanda, India.

I have corrected the caption to reflect the following changes (as pointed out by Tajim): The Nepali license plate reads “Na A Chai” not Cha as I had originally written. Chai signifies the month of Chaitra when this Indian vehicle entered Nepal through Na= Narayani zone. Unlike the regular license plates (which would have meant that the vehicle with Na plate was registered in Narayani zone, this one means the vehicle entered Nepal via the Indo-Nepal border point in Narayani zone.)
